Heading north from Cairns to Port Douglas the Captain Cook Highway winds along the coastline, passing isolated beaches where the rainforest clad mountains plunge into the Coral Sea.
You will take a stroll in the beautiful Mossman gorge, visit a sugar mill, a pineapple plantation and the historic Daintree village. A wildlife cruise on the mangrove lined Daintree River will be followed by a Barramundi lunch with tropical fruit tasting, and then back to Port Douglas to walk with the birds, koalas and kangaroos in the award winning Rainforest Habitat.
